The German auto major Volkswagen is very well known worldwide and highly acclaimed for the typical German characteristics that they bring to the design of their cars. The inner machinery of the Volkswagen Polo remains unchanged.  The diesel version of Polo comes with 1.5-litre TDI engine with a displacement capacity of 1498cc. It is composed of 4 cylinders and is coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission system. The peak power output of the diesel engine is 104bhp at 4400rpm. The petrol model of the Polo comes with a 1.2-litre TSI engine with 4 cylinders with a little less displacement capacity of 1197cc. Power generated by this engine is 104bhp at 5000rpm. The petrol variant also comes with a 7 speed DSG gearbox which ensures easy and smooth shifting of gears.  Volkswagen has heightened the security features of the Polo with the addition of ABS and EBD along with hill hold control and electronic stabilisation program along with the already present features like dual airbags, rear parking sensors, multi function display etc.


Polo on road price which starts at 5.93 lakh is no doubt lucrative that includes a smooth handling and comfortable ride, along with ample space and safety features, all packed into an amazingly stylish car body.

Why Renault Duster was a success in India

The Renault Duster has created an overwhelming buzz in the Indian car market, which was never seen in recent times. Ever since it was launched in July 2012, the Renault Duster has won the hearts of all Indian car enthusiasts, in spite of being a European car predominantly. Renault needed something that could offer a super turbo boost to its sales figures in the Indian market. Renault Duster helped to catapult the fortunes of Renault in India. The Duster was so successful that Renault had to triple its production within months of the car launch.

The Renault Duster with manual transmission is available across its five variants available in both petrol as well as diesel. The 2014 Renault Duster comes with a 1.6-litre petrol motor delivering power of 102bhp. Additionally, the diesel version comes in two types 83bhp and 108bhp. The biggest change in the new Renault Duster is the AMT version. The 108bhp comes with an optional six speed AMT along with a standard six speed manual transmission system, while the 83bhp gets a five speed manual transmission system. Duster claims to offer fuel efficiency of 13.06 kmpl for the petrol, 19.87 kmpl for the 83 bhp and 19.6 kmpl for the 108 bhp
diesel engines – in both manual and AMT variants.

On road price of Renault Duster shows figures that starts from 9.37 lakh and shoots up to 15.63 lakh in Delhi.

 Athough, the new Renault Duster is more expensive than the older one, this compact SUV has always been a great car to drive both in the city and off the road for its sheer technical excellence. Apart from the mechanical alterations, the commendable step that Renault has taken to make the Duster a complete SUV is the integration of the AMT which will certainly make the success of Duster in India very crucial.
